Ramuun - "California Dream" (feat. T3RU)

RAMUUN, a musical duo with unique Hip Hop/fusion power from the future, consists of Luna Zaka and Narayan from Zion. Their story unfolds like a super hero graphic novel epic; each step of their life long journey into musical harmonyis laden with sonic synchronistic gems.  Renowned music producer/artist Jackson Whalan says. “RAMUUN is the next woman-and-man music duo to be discovered, and it’s going to be massive. Here we have Lithuanian vocalist/composer/writer/pianist Luna Zaka, and the uber-funky Californian producer, MC, and visual artist, Narayan from Zion, currently based in Sonoma County, CA.”

RAMUUN is currently putting the finishing touches on Verbal Hypnosis, their first video and album. After over a year and a half in the studio with more than 20 songs in the making, they have created a very unique and definitive style both in music and branding. Their new 12 song album is paradigm shifting. Producer/artist Whalen goes on to say, “Sonically, just imagine if Die Antwoord was from California and was stirred into a cauldron with Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Norah Jones, with seasonings of a unique stand-out rap-voice, as recognizable as Cypress Hill, The Beastie Boys, or other such legends whose voices can be clearly distinguished. And yet, these references do no justice in describing how RAMUUN actually sounds. You just have to listen. It’s like what you might hear on another planet.”

The “American Dream” Didn’t Pan Out? Try “California Dream (Feat. T3RU)”:

RAMUUN Emerges Strong with a Bouncy West Coast Anthem for Your Summer

RAMUUN is the next woman-and-man music duo to be discovered, and it’s going to be massive. Here we have Lithuanian vocalist and musician Luna Zaka, and the uber-funky Californian producer, mc, and visual artist, Narayan from Zion, currently based in Sonoma County, CA. More than a collaboration, the connection is a union of love. Sonically, just imagine if Die Antwoord was from California and was stirred into a cauldron with Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Norah Jones, with seasonings of a unique stand-out rap-voice, as recognizable as Cypress Hill, The Beastie Boys, or other such legends whose voices can be clearly distinguished. And yet, these references do no justice in describing how RAMUUN actually sounds. It’s like what you might hear on another planet. Somehow those futuristic frequencies were able to be transported down to Earth, and translated into a Hip-Hop/Fusion with electronic and bass music for people to comprehend. There is a depth of ideas for the mind and an equal amount feelings for the body. There is an overall “vibe” to their sound, with all the moving parts creating a larger feeling, adding up to an unmistakeable brand with potential to grow. Having already dropped their first single, the profound and perhaps tear-jerking“Tibetan Flags” , there is a momentum building for their project as we move into the summer. RAMUUN will release their debut album Verbal Hypnosis in July (2017), with multiple singles and a music video leading up to the full album release.

“California Dream (Feat. T3RU)” is, no doubt, the cannabis anthem of the zeitgeist. The song is ready to make history on music festival sound systems up and down the gold coast, or perhaps through the airwaves on the radio that sits at the trim-table at your buddy’s grow spot in Humboldt County. 808-driven, even a bit weird and ominous, with a charming flute one-shot, and odd syncopations of beat-box, the production is a danceable canvas for Luna Zaka’s freaky-wild singing. As Narayan and his 19 year old “spirit son” T3RU drop relentless rhymes about positive West Coast living, the listener's’ imagination gets rolled up and lit. It’s all in there: the traveling, the diverse landscapes, the natural beauty, the prosperity, the spirituality, the “trim scene”, going back to the nugs, the modern day gold rush in California. The hook is about the togetherness and celebration of a culture that is a summation all these things. “Everybody came to live…”, likening the pilgrimage of to CA to that of the 19th century immigration into America.

As the seeds sprout, and the plants begin to grow, take a moment to peep the psychedelically ceremonial Bonnie and Clyde that is RAMUUN!
