Moorea Masa - The Garden

(Los Angeles, CA) Portland-based indie-folk and soul artist Moorea Masa, announces the release of her new single, “The Garden.” The track is from her forthcoming album, set for release in Spring 2017. Produced in collaboration with JMost, “The Garden” is a song about letting go of toxic relationships and things that aren’t contributing to your growth and development as an individual.

Masa has been singing since she could speak, and began performing professionally at the age of 16 with her band, The Ruby Pines. After splitting from the band to pursue a solo career, Masa went on to open for artists Corrine Bailey Rae, Emily King, El Vy and more! In 2015,  she  released her debut EP Oh, Mother, that was met with praise from Willamette Week, Vortex, and Next2Shine who stated, “Her voice a charming blend of silken tonal clarity, luxuriant phrasing and perfectly weighed power and restraint, she coaxes from the listener an instinctive emotional response.” Masa’s rich vocals have been used to support various artists including The Decemberists, El Vy, Allen Stone, Nu Shooz, Nick Waterhouse, and The Shook Twins. Her latest feature on Manatee Commune’s “The Garden Song,” was featured on SOM Magazine, KEXP and Hillydilly who stated, “Moorea's folk-leaning, warmly toned voice, too, is flawless beside the backdrop, and the combination.”
