So many songs lyrics are filled with bluster and bravado, and far too often, the entire things feels like contrived bullshit. 'Save Us' is full of confidence as well, and yet the single takes an entirely different approach to get there. From a beautiful pleading chorus sand by Rori, to the hard edged flow of Dvtch Norris, this one feels real and raw and openly breaks down the fears and insecurities without hiding behind the all-too-common false narrative of ... I'm a bad ass. A real bad ass is willing to show us the dark places as well as the joy, the hopes and the confidence. This single does that very well.
