Daddy Grace (a/k/a Born Allah) - "Call Me" [Music Video]

Los Angeles rap-veteran Daddy Grace delivers a powerful and moving statement with his new video for “Call Me,” which captures his life as a Black man living in a country where he’s been historically, and sadly referred to by so many different names.

“Call me savage, heathen, three-fourths of a human-being/ Give me 40 acres and a mule, and we call it even,” the rapper, also known as Born Allah spits over the soulful production of BLDNGBLCK. And he does so while looking directly at the camera lens of Wackoe, who also directed the pimptastic visuals for, “Black Cream.”

This perspective allows the viewer, to feel connected to Daddy Grace’s message and emotions, in addition to the footage displayed throughout. This allows the focus to shift between the rapper and his talented guest, K.I.T.S. Crakin, as well as clips of Malcolm X speeches, Black Lives Matter protests, and racist cartoons.

It may be difficult at times, but the “Call Me” video is unfortunately a necessity given our country’s history, and current divided state of affairs.

Check out the visuals for “Call Me,” and go grab Daddy Grace’s No Hip Hop For Grown Men LP, which is now available via iTunes and all major digital retailers and streaming services, via Church of Hip Hop & Financial Prosperity.
