R.O.E. - "No Time to Waste"
With “No Time to Waste”, R.O.E. embraces the struggle in the process, replaying moments of sacrifice while building the dream one desires to make a reality. For artists and others on the come up, the relationship to time and accomplishments can be challenging but R.O.E. reminds us all that the effort is worth the struggle. It’s beautiful to witness the product of the hard work and to know that all the time spent and all the sacrifices have purpose. We’re reminded we can’t stop pushing regardless of the adversity because we all have a mission to accomplish both personally and for the sake of those who look to us for guidance.
“No Time to Waste” is motivation to push through life understanding your purpose, realizing your gifts are going to make room for you. On top of that, the soft spine 90s hip-hop reminiscent track sets the perfect tone to make this sort of rap message conversational. A deep bass carrying the melody matched with some soft piano tones follow the wordplay eloquently, making this an easy going tune to replay in any setting. It’d be silly to spend time worrying about why not the enjoy this message and music, when time is our greatest competitor.
Sugi Dakks - "Move On"
"Move On" is about trying to get out of the negative thoughts of giving up and throwing in the towel. The internal struggle of feeling terrible, having little self worth, but overcoming that by moving on.
Stalone - "Deep Sea" ft. K.A.A.N
Stalone has had a passion for artistic expression since her childhood, so naturally her talent caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer Dem Jointz, who produced Uropa along with Focus and Logann.
Inspired by Björk's Utopia and by Stalone’s own love for space (Europa is an ice water moon that orbits around Jupiter), Uropa is a vibrant and far-expanding sonic experience that perfectly fits its theme. It’s an adventure of styles and sounds set over five tracks, from haunting echoes to smooth melodies, or as Stalone herself put it:
“This project is like a weird dream, like what the music would sound like if Björk had a blunt in her mouth while her and I sit and take shots of Jack at a local bar in our space suits.”
Uropa is available now on SoundCloud

The group co-writes all of their songs and have been in the studio penning a new album (scheduled to come out early fall 2018) with many of the industry’s top writers, including: Lauren Christy (Avril Lavigne, Bebe Rehxa, David Bowie) Pam Sheyne (Christina Aguilera) Bryan Todd (Miley Cyrus), Ben Adams (Craig David) and Manny Streetz!

99TheProducer - "The Plan" (Prod. By 99)
The Plan is the third song off 99TheProducer's new EP "Studio 204." All songs were recorded, written, and produced in his dorm room at DePaul University.
Jon Vinyl - "Storm"
Following the upbeat, feel-good anthem of his recent single “Cherry Blossom,” Vinyl steps into a new realm of intimacy and vulnerability with the release of “Storm.” Drawing on his love life, the single is a reflection of Vinyl’s hopefulness in pursuing a relationship that can last through times of adversity. He describes the song - layered with soulful melodies - as a subtle metaphor for the many phases that are encountered in a romantic relationship.
Feiertag - "Run Away" (ft. Pip Millett)

He has also released music on labels such as Kraak & Smaak’s imprint Boogie Angst, Kitsuné, Sasha’s ‘Last Night On Earth’, SVNSET Waves and Mike Mago’s ‘BMKLTSCH Records’.

Enlisting the soulful and sultry vocal talents of UK based Pip Millett, 'Run Away' takes the listener on a journey through a syncopated soundscape driven by the narrative of standing strong in the face of adversity.
‘Pip's unique sound worked perfectly with the instrumental I created and formed this song effortlessly. The vibe of the track resembles the relaxed collaboration that came forth from Pip's unique vocals and my melodic instrumental. First time working with Pip generated an instant response and I can't wait to share this with all of you.’ - Feiertag

Noah Carter - "Search"
Noah Carter is already a legend on the Danish hip-hop scene, but with his new single and mixtape the 25 year old Copenhagen-born rapper has announced himself on the world stage.
Rapping in English and with a brooding, melancholic sonic palate inspired by artists such as Drake as his OVO crew, Noah Carter has the ability to deliver both heavy trap bangers and reflective, R&B-leaning anthems.
Taken from his brand new mixtape 2nd Demo, lead single, ‘Search’ falls very much into the latter of these categories, with Carter’s introspective flows paired alongside a heady, atmospheric beat.
Search was added to Apple Music’s Breaking Hip-hop playlist last week, and is surely the start of Noah Carter’s move into the US, Europe and beyond.

Vasser premieres new single, 'Valerians'
Vasser returns today with brand new single 'Valerians'. This follows debut EP 'A Telling End', which saw the young singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist pick up support across the likes of Radio 1, 1xtra, BBC Introducing and surpass 3 million early streams. News of Vasser's second EP will follow soon.
'Valerians' marks a further step out of the shadows for Vasser, though its primary influence is in fact those darkest hours themselves: the track takes its title from the sleeping tablets of the same name, but effectively explores the death of a relationship and the clarity thereafter which can cut through the most crowded mind (waking you up in more ways than one). It's these moments of late-night lucidity which feel most apparent across 'Valerians', whose nuanced mix of organic textures, atmospheric electronics and an increasingly confident focus on songwriting and vocals easily marks it out asVasser's most distinct release to date.
Still just 19 years old, Vasser's work is already showing a curious eye for isolation, community and creativity. At home, the choice between a more artistic (but insular) life was apparent from an early age: whilst the London underground beats scene which Vasser aspired to seemed unreachable from the family's sleepy commuter-town, more immediate inspiration came from his mother, a German-born oil-painter who would work downstairs between Vasser's bass-heavy, studio shifts in the bedroom upstairs. Here he started writing songs in earnest around both his final exams and first serious breakup, beginning with the intense, introverted 'Whatever You Want'. Marching to (and producing) your own beat was further instilled by spotting the connections between subcultures Vasser loved: James Blake's cover of 'A Case Of You' opened a window to the work of Joni Mitchell, for instance, before the burgeoning Soundcloud community and DIY ethos of Youtube tutorials broke down any geographical or genre-based walls separating early dub or UK rap from dance producers like Floating Points and Jon Hopkins.
Now, the freedoms and frustrations of where Vasser - and indeed any new artist in 2018 - finds himself has proved to be a growing influence in itself. One of the first generation of producers to genuinely have it all at your fingertips, the duty to truly connect is not lost on Vasser: his suitably fluid artist-name variously seems to nod to both his German heritage, proudly immigrant mother, and the desire to write fully-formed songs - not just beats - which travel. "I've realised," says Vasser, "that you can involve other people without compromising on the desire to do everything yourself. I've been born in an age where you if you work hard, you can basically sound however you want - all it takes is time. And not being exposed to a massive social life through spending time on music has actually helped me express myself better."
A shining new light in a circle of young artists who may feel alone (but are in fact more together than ever), this year will take Vasser firmly out of his own head and into a brightly uncertain future.

Lion Sphere - "Alice at Once"
With 'Alice at Once‘ we want to convey the ease and euphoria from a lush summer that you know is going to be archived in your memory as some of the 'good days' of youth and friendship.
The audible lightness interplaying with groove is the result of the synergy we achieved during our writing camp in Spain last year, where we spent 10 days playing under the open sky.
We had the luxury of time and allowed ourselves to be experimental and playful. The sheer amount of playing meant our happy accidents and spontaneous moves could become organically honed. Lyrically the song is a testament to taking chances, and not being held back by outside influences. This song is very much like a soundtrack for a day from this summer with Lion Sphere.
#LAOnLockExclusive: P.I. The General - "Out The Gutta" feat. Marty Blaze

JU$$-B & IVL - "Mixxxd Emotions"
With performances throughout the city from Drom to Santos Party House, hit records such as "My Way” and “Wanted It All” off his “Soon On Top” mixtape, extrodinary lyrical display on
covers like “Rambo” and “Gave Em Hope”, 2016 showcased JU$$-B as a complete artist, both
commercial and freestyle. It set the bar for an amazing 2017 led by his headlining, 30 minute,
performance at the historic SOBs. Under the BXC Music Festival platform, with his labelmate
Euroflo, they had well over 100 fans in attendance. His “One Nine” album debut in April on all digital streaming sites with the smash commercial hit “InstaFamous”, bar heavy lyrical excellence of “Back In My Bag”, and his mainstream feature from Phresher with “Fine With Me”. He was nominated 7x for the Voiceless Music Awards for the WVMR indie station (most all time in one year) in his 1st year of eligibility. He was also on DTF Radio, YAC Radio with DJ Don Demarco,
and 3x on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network for interviews and shows. “The Plug”, Jason Bourne, also featured AMG for an interview with his Lavish Life Magazine. He latered performed at numerous other venues sponsored by Hot97 and Power 105 throughout the boroughs, while also opening up for PBN Rock at Webster Hall.
IVL debut on the scene as a bit of an unknown in 2016 with his 1st mixtape “The Appetizer”. It
featured six music videos, ranging from New York, Miami, Las Vegas, and Houston with records like “No Love”, “Winter Story”, “Real Ni***s”, all topping over 2.5K views. But his most successful was “Trust”, which garnered over 6k views. With that amount of potential, and his original branding style using his own apparel, IV Apparel, bloggers begin to gravitate toward the Brownsville emcee. He followed that up, in 2017, with his “Sweet Sixteens” mixtape that was released on Datpiff. He took some of the most successful instrumentals from the late 90s and early 2000s and featured other indie artist he knew on every track. Thats where JU$$-B and himself first worked with each other, along with Euroflo, on the record “Pay Back”. The video was shot as a cypher, reminiscent of the BET HipHop Awards theme. It was most memorable as it was shot on the platform of an inside NYC transit train station, full deejay set in hand and hosted by DJ Damage. He then joined AMG on their most recently highly anticipated mixtape "By Any Means 2” as their only feature, on the record “Sanctuary”.
These experiences and chemistry building opportunities together, set the bar for the idea of the duo working together on their own project. From here, the birth of Mixxxd Emotions was created
We had the opportunity to talk to them both on LA On Lock Radio. Tune in below!
