Vasser - "Little Things"
Vasser has premiered new single 'Little Things' , the second to be taken from his forthcoming debut EP, 'A Telling End' (which also features acclaimed recent track 'To The Wolves' ). This follows Vasser's hotly-tipped debut 'Whatever You Want/Retract', and support across Spotify (where he is approaching 2 million plays), BBC Introducing, Radio 1, 1Xtra and Hype Machine. Look out for further details on 'A Telling End' in the coming weeks.
Effortlessly blending organic, acoustic textures and atmospheric electronics, 'Little Things' details the minutiae of a relationship which is slowly but surely dying out. It's another confessional but cooly-controlled step forward from Vasser, a still-just-18-year-old singer and producer hard at work on his craft. "Little Things is the first track I've done which really centred around the writing process," says Vasser. "The track began with the lyrics about the relationship which the majority of the EP is based on, and the production suited the vocals instead of the other way round."
'A Telling End' captures that confusion and possible chaos in a transitional time for Vasser (and his peers). Half German, half British, and born to an inherently creative household - his mother is an oil painter - the family's sleepy-commuter town in Kent nonetheless offered little musical evidence of the sort of beat-makers Vasser found himself continually drawn to (such as Francis & The Lights or Jon Hopkins). He started writing songs in earnest around his final exams, unsure of what lay ahead but keen to follow an artistic instinct first hinted at aged 9, when he started playing Jazz with some like-minded school friends. And so beginning with 'Whatever You Want', Vasser simply did it all himself: lyrically channeling an uncertainty over what lay ahead (in your career, and your romantic life) into textured electronic pop.
Chris Ayer - "Stay Another Night"
After nearly a year in the making, Chris Ayer will be releasing his highly anticipated followup single, ‘Stay Another Night’. This single is distributed worldwide across all digital service providers by PIAS.
Chris Ayer has honed his craft over nearly a decade’s worth of countless performances in and around New York City. In 2014, Ayer made the move from New York City to Los Angeles, and almost simultaneously he began to witness his music gain viral traction throughout Europe and The United Kingdom. Since 2014, Chris has played over 1000 shows both internationally and domestically. Most recently, Chris capped off a 21 date national tour of the United States with a one-off performance in Amsterdam in front of 5500 screaming fans at AFAS Live supporting Matt Simons (‘Catch & Release’, ‘With You’). Chris recently performed at this year’s PinkPop Festival in The Netherlands, where he shared the bill with the likes of Green Day, Martin Garrix, Passenger, & Kings of Leon.
For his latest release, Chris has collaborated with acclaimed Dutch DJ/producer Palm Trees (Martin Garrix, Cee Lo Green, and Armin Van Buuren). The initial meeting between this dynamic duo ultimately lead to Ayer’s single, ‘On The Blvd’, which was released in 2016. Since it’s premier, ‘On the Blvd’ has racked up more than a 1.3 million streams on Spotify and it has accrued some notable radio airplay courtesy of various Dutch and Belgian tastemakers. Their latest collaboration, ‘Stay Another Night’, is Chris’s most viral song to date! “Stay Another Night’ landed in the Spotify Viral 50 in Denmark and Holland, it is the darling of Spotify U.S.’s Bae and Summer '17 playlists, it peaked at #4 on Hype Machine’s Twitter Music Chart, and it has already exceeded 200K+ streams in it’s first month of streaming! Shan Vincent de Paul - "Zen"
After releasing his debut album "Saviors" last year, Toronto based Shan Vincent de Paul returns with a more soulful approach with his new single “Zen”. Produced by Melbourne based Amy Axegale, the track highlights SVDP’s ability to effortlessly glide between rap and soulful melodies. Addressing his post-break up woes, SVDP touches on the all- too-common urge to drunk text your ex:
“Despite what many may think, even a break-up takes some kind of commitment. Fighting the urge to continuously work out a toxic relationship…that’s the feeling I was trying to convey. Yeah sure, time heals all wounds, but the healing time is fucking brutal”
The song begins with smooth soulful melodies from SVDP that moves into rap cadences that resemble The Pharcyde and eventually builds to a lush ‘future bass’ drop for the bridge. The track puts SVDP’s dynamic song writing skills on full display and proves why he’s an artist to keep an eye on this year.
Shan is 1/4 sideways, a Toronto-based crew also consisting of Coleman Hell, La+ch & Michah. The group of like-minded artists handle everything from songwriting and production to art direction and videos. Shan is currently working on his sophomore project to be released in the fall.

Ukraine's Ivan Dorn supplies your latest sonic addiction in the form of his latest single, 'Such a Bad Surprise.' Dorn's newest creation intertwines hip-hop, jazz, pop, and sounds of the Ukrainian underground to form a new, innovative breed of genre. The track begins with a jazz sample that slows and speeds underneath the chatter of studio conversations and musicians warming up on their instruments. The beat kicks in and the sample continues as a flourishing chordal structure, supporting Dorn's bars.
Ivan Dorn's characteristic vocal virtuosity is the perfect counterpart to the vibrant, jangly jazz guitar and warm bass sound. The verses explore the pitfalls of modern relationships, and Dorn's desire for a place to hide from some frustrated and ubiquitous partner. 'Such a Bad Surprise' won't be leaving your head anytime soon, so it's best to prepare for the long haul.
BIO:
Its difficult to imagine the post-soviet pop scene without the controversial story of Ivan Dorn.
In 2011 the tall blond Ukrainian became an overnight sensation with his debut album ‘Co’n’Dorn’. His unique blend of 90s house, pop, nu-disco, funk and free jazz, came as a breath of fresh air to the suffocated Eastern Europe pop scene. The well-crafted compilation of catchy pop tunes brought the 23 year old into the spotlight. His fashion-forward style, controversial public appearances, fancy footwork and contagious personality caught on like wild fire. Within months Ivan Dorn and his band filled sports arenas around the country and he quickly earned a spot as a judge on The Voice Ukraine.
In 2014, just when it seemed like Ivan would follow the footsteps of most modern pop stars with radio-friendly hits and overproduced music videos, he dropped, “Randorn”, an album that would redefine him as an artist and bridge the gap between the underground and the mainstream. The masterpiece featured an odd selection of unique tracks sounding anywhere from Aphex Twins to Kavinski passing through Pharrell Williams. Although it was initially received with mixed feelings, the record quickly topped the charts and had audiences dancing from the VIP areas of the high society to the basements of the underground.
In 2016, Ivan started Masterskaya, an independent music label focused on bringing the exciting sound of Ukrainian underground to the main stage. Out of the blue, the 28 year old artist moved to Los Angeles to start recording his first English-language album, and quickly found himself inspired by the ocean breeze and palm trees. His US debut album is now on its way, and with feature a tight selection of tracks that, like Ivan, don’t follow the rules.
If there is one thing we’ve learned about Ivan over the years, is that if you think you have him all figured out, you are probably already one step behind.
