OAKLAND'S SAFIA MAFIA & GUAPDAD 4000 COME TOGETHER ON "WEED & WINE"
Oakland singer/songwriter Safia Mafia has released a new record titled “Weed & Wine,” which features fellow Oakland-native, rapper Guapdad 4000. The Bay Area collaboration was produced by Tyga’s Last King’s producer Bedrock. The track, which premiered on EARMILK is the lead single from Safia's upcoming project Love Kills, due out top of 2019.
"Weed & Wine" is the 'morning after' account of a night spent with your 'it’s complicated'," Safia remarks. "Sometimes we do things that go against our better judgment for moments of temporary happiness, especially in relationships. I wanted to talk about those moments in a lighthearted and fun way."
"Working with Guap was one of the most fun sessions I’ve ever had," Safia shares. "He has great energy, and he’s not only hilarious, he’s super talented. His personality really meshed with the colour of the song, so I was super grateful to have him on the record.”
