LEWIS FITZGERALD - OH MAMA [Music Review] October 31, 2024 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop Rating: 3 out of 5 “Lewis Fitzgerald has the vocal chops to do whatever he wants. Here the South London artist utilizes and Afrobeat to back his performance and while the vocals and music are on point, the lyrical build is sparse and just never quite hit that next level for me. I was intrigued by the talent and sound, but slightly let down by the lack of lyrical substance.” — Travis Erwin ~ LA on Lock Blogger
LEWIS FITZGERALD - Clarity [Music Video Review] October 15, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Electro Pop Rating: 4 out of 5 ““Relationships tend to ebb and flow, and while both parties might remain in love, there are times the only way to find ‘Clarity’ is to take a step back and reassess your emotions. Lewis Fitzgerald tackles this dynamics on this Electro Pop track. I suspect some will label Fitzgerald as a Brutish Post Malone, given his look and sound, and while that designation has merit because there are definite similarities, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced Fitzgerald’s talent. So I am confident that he has the artistry and talent to stand on his own and shed any notions that he is a derivative artist and not a talent in his own right.” — Travis Erwin ~ LA on Lock Blogger
LEWIS FITZGERALD - SHORT RIDE (ft. WEWANTWRAITHS) [Music Video Review] March 23, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Contemporary R&B Rating: 4.5 out of 5 “Lewis Fitzgerald is a twenty-one year old rising star. The UK singer/songwriter is joined here by WEWANTWRAITHS and the video has the two of them cruising through the streets of London as they delivery a track we can all relate to. Life is indeed a ‘Short Ride,’ and sadly can be even far shorter than we plan, so this is a song to help remind us to live each day to our fullest. Fitzgerald weighs in on the track saying ... ‘This song represents some of my childhood and things I went through, I had suicidal thoughts and attempts when I was younger and it’s kind of like my way of releasing that pain now through this sound, remembering how it was and how I thought at the time, it’s like me saying it to myself.’Despite the heavy inspiration of the track, the single never feels overwrought, and it can simply be enjoyed as a smooth groove and entertaining song to brighten your world. ” — Travis Erwin ~ LA on Lock Blogger
