“Smooth and melodic, ‘Freeze’ brings that easy groove that just falls into your consciousness as if you’ve been singing along to the song for years. ”

“Giovanni Tha King has dropped a single that is tough to categorize, but sometimes that is the beauty of flat out good music. It blends and blurs lines, and that is the case with ‘Fallin’ which has a Rap beat behind it and a similar cadence in spots, but the vocals utilize Autotune to give the track some Pop sensibilities as well.
At the heart of this track is the emotional and genuine delivery which drew me in as a listener.”
“This is one of those tracks that just grabs you and it is hard to say why. There are some shiny lines that truly are ‘Going For The Gold,’ and the vocal flow is somewhat ordinary until the chorus anyway, but I was on the hook just the same.
I suppose my intrigue here came from the fact that it felt true and I believed the emotion behind the flow.”
“The monotone vibe to this track worked well with the lyrics. And the vocal shift a couple minutes in brought in a soulful groove that kept me on the hook.
Well-written and engaging, ‘Lately iii’ pulled me in and held me there. ”
“Riding a crest of smooth confidence, The Wavy Kid drops ‘Get Away’ which feels cool and comforting.
This track isn’t exactly breaking new ground, but it covers all the basis for an upbeat and entertaining listen. ”
“There is that moment in most relationships where you fear the feelings of attraction and personal attachment. The need of another person is a scary thing and if the person you need sees you in a bad light there is little to do to stop them from being a ‘Runaway.’ This track captures all of this in a smooth, Contemporary R&B style.”
“Riding a dark and heavy vibe, this tracks reflects on life by asking ... What do you see when you look in the mirror? The flow is solid, and the beat spot on, in this single that leaves you feeling like maybe you have more control in things than you realize.”
“Sometimes you need a track that brings pure energy and attitude. ‘Long Time Coming’ is such a single, and the Outsyders bring it with passion on this the first single off of their upcoming debut album. I Look forward to hearing more. ”
“Loyalty is a tough thing to find in this world. This single honors loyalty, by dropping a steady beat and sing-song flow that serves as an anthem of trust and confidence. Both hard-earned by surviving tough times with, and because, of those you proudly stand alongside.”
“The vocal inflections early on hooked me, and the lyrics held me with a realness that is not found often enough in popular music. The beat is steady and the delivery smooth and engaging.”
“Clean breaks are tough with affairs of the heart ,and ‘When We Fight’ captures the despair, desperation, and guarded hope of those emotions with a pair of vocals.
The first is sang with a beautiful vulnerability and the second is a flow delivered with more of a stoic indifference. This contrast is part of what captures the emotions of this situation so well.”
“The lyrics are well-written and the track brings a riveting energy as well as some true passion for what is being said. No easy feat to achieve with a productions this autotune heavy. Kudos for a solid performance, and quality production. ”
“Riding a banging beat , ‘Flxn’ takes sharp, clever lyrics and blends them with a rock solid flow to bang out a single that is indeed flexing plenty of muscle. At under two minutes, my only wanton wish is for a few more verses.”
“The last of the carefree days under the sun are always a bit sad. ‘Summer Doesn’t Have to End’ takes that emotion and infuses it into a dark, melancholy melody that blends perfectly with two sets of vocals.
The result is an expression of hope that a summer fling can carry on into the fall, though in the end that simply feels like something we tell ourselves to make saying goodbye easier to take.”
“ILL LIL sold me with a performance that felt genuine and believable.
Lyrically, ‘All My Life’ is straightforward and direct and full of a motivational hype, which can be a tough sell if the performer is not fully invested in what he’s saying. Here, I believed every word. ”
“The video is the perfect compliment to this track. Without it I am unsure the lyrics would resonate as well as they do, but the beat is steady and the performance engaging enough to hold my focus start to finish.”
“The respect of a man is given on the basis of his determination, his hustle and the love he has for his family. With transition of different scenes Da Kid Emm shows us the process of his journey and lyrically tell us what keeps him going. With a snippet of father hood you don’t have to question what he is working for.”
“Slithering up on you, ‘Mamba’ is a track that sort of bites you unexpectedly. Some tracks wow you instantly and some are more of a slow burn that leaves you surprised how drawn into the song you got.
Varying vocals styles persist in this one from Loss Cozz, but still the track builds and builds both musically and lyrically until it wraps up with an almost carnival like sound, leaving you to wonder how exactly the sound got to that point. ”
“We all love kickbacks and game nights with friends and wonder who will be single or taken. Vega and Heartbreak & M.C have made the choosing theme song. When you see someone you want just go for it and “Swoop It Up.”
“ All songs need a great hook; ‘Too Much of a Good Thing’ delivers just that. With the visuals of a picnic type setting Pell gives his date a lyrical explanation to why she is so wonderful.”
