Skaa Takes over the Suburbs in his New Video for “Kilimanjaro”
Skaa is back representing Boston in his latest video for “Kilimanjaro”. This time around the rapper takes over the suburbs as he performs every line from his most lyrical song yet.
Steering clear of gimmicks in Kilimanjaro; Skaa instead focuses on giving the rhymes the spotlight. The video is a reflection of how close Skaa is to his goals, which now feel only slightly out of reach. Skaa shows growth on the track, letting his understanding of the rap game and his place in it be known. He definitely wears his influences on his sleeves, bearing a lyrical resemblance to golden age artists like Nas and Scarface.
His story is unlike any other rapper in the industry. Skaa is originally from the Philippines and traveled half-way around the world to Boston to take his rap career to the next level. In a short amount of time, Skaa has released over a dozen tracks on his Soundcloud page, racked up thousands of plays, and made huge number of followers in the process. His songs are a mash-up of traditional rap and trap sounding production. His latest track, “Kilimanjaro” has him rapping some of his best lines to date.
